Where did He find you?

Reading of the Day: Deuteronomy 31-33

Deuteronomy 32:10: He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

In these chapters, Moses is about to die, and Israel is about to go forward with Joshua to fight for the land of Jericho which The Lord promised them. But before this happened, Moses had some last words & even a song The Lord put on his heart to share with the children of Israel. It described the journey so far...where God brought them out of, where they were, where they were going, and what they would do when they got there. He made them to remember what they were like when they first left Egypt on their way into the wilderness. As the Scripture says, "He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness..." Then, the Scripture shows us how God cared for them and raised them as His own: "... he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye." They went from knowing the ways of Egypt to learning, loving & trusting in the ways of God. God kept Israel as the apple of His eye! Later on, however, Moses describes how they chose to turn from God. They would go through times of trust, then times of complaining & doubting. God also said that once they get into the promised land, they would stray away once more & be enticed by other people who serve other gods...yet even knowing all of this, at the end of that song, God says He will still have mercy on His people when they turn back to Him! God knows the end from the beginning! We know where He first found us...and maybe, like the Israelites, it's been a bumpy road ever since...but we have to remember what that first time was like! That first time He picked us up. Instructed us. Gave us peace. Showed us the way! That first time he found us & gave us freedom from whatever was holding us down...or maybe, we feel like He hasn't found us yet. Either way, God sees you. He knows where you are at right now, and not only can you run to Him for the first time, but you can keep running back to Him time & time again! Stay close to Jesus always! If you have not yet had a first-time experience with God, pray. Search His Word. Ask Him to reveal Himself through His Word, and He will! Don't ever forget where He found you, because it will help you stay on track to where He is leading you next!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
