Which way?
Based on Jeremiah 6-7, Psalm 111
"16: Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein." Jeremiah 6:16.
Back-tracking. Turning around. U-turns. Dead ends...We've all hit that unexpected "fork in the road" from time to time. I'm sure we've all cried out in frustration, "Which way!?"
But are we willing to go where we are told? If God answered us in our desperate cry, would we be relieved, or still question it? Would we answer in defiance as the children of Israel did and say "We will not walk therein"?
In the end, we want to know the good way. We need to ask for those old paths. If it's not broke, don't fix it! We don't need new answers to old questions. God has always had the answers...HE IS THE ANSWER! HE IS GOOD! HE IS THE WAY, TRUTH & LIFE!!!
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6.
"5: For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
6: If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:
7: Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever." Jeremiah 7:5-7.
We must amend our ways by saying amen to His way! He will give us an amazing, safe place to dwell in! We will no longer waste time wandering & wondering if we are on the right track with our lives. He gives us both direction and the end result. With more faith, we can sure follow!
"23: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you." Jeremiah 7:23.
In His ways, all is well! How much more proof & Truth do we need!? I know sometimes it's difficult to be directed by God when we cannot see Him...but our Pastor preached this just yesterday, and it really opened my eyes to God even more: He is INVISIBLE and INVINCIBLE!! We can't see Him, but He cannot fail! All the physical objects of this earth will weaken & fade, but God's Spirit never dies! It's honestly easier to trust in Who we cannot see than the things we can!
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Hebrews 11:1.
We only walk blindly after God if we don't have faith! Faith gives substance & evidence to our walk with God. It helps us see in the spiritual what can't be seen in the physical!
"(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)"
2 Corinthians 5:7.
Next time you ask yourself which way...just say GOD'S WAY!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
