Who is The Lord?

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Psalms 103-104, 1 Corinthians 2

Who is The Lord? What are His attributes? The more we pray & search the Scriptures, the more we find out not only by Word who He is, but by experience! The more we live a life which invites God to be the center of it all, the more we experience His attributes first-hand! Psalm 103 has been on our hearts lately, and so it is so fitting as today's reading, complemented by Psalm 104 & 1 Corinthians 2!

"Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's." Psalm 103:3‭-‬5

So many beautiful benefits are found within a life dedicated to The Lord! We lack nothing when we have Jesus! He is the Forgiver. The Healer. Redeemer. Lover. Satisfier. Life-Giver!!

"Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: Who maketh the clouds his chariot: Who walketh upon the wings of the wind: Who maketh his angels spirits; His ministers a flaming fire: Who laid the foundations of the earth, That it should not be removed for ever." Psalm 104:2‭-‬5

He touches down in our lives & into His creation which surrounds us! He gets personal, yet He goes so far beyond that! We never have to worry about any internal storm, or the storms happening in the world around us. He is our all in all!!

"And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." 1 Corinthians 2:4‭-‬5

Never place your faith in anyone or anything else but God! When you find out Who He is through reading and especially through experience, you find out that He loves us more than we could ever fathom! What an incredible God we serve! So Who is The Lord? Well...when we read of Him & seek Him, we experience Him by receiving His Spirit...and as one of the other recent posts...He becomes the God you KNOW!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
