Who's Judging?
Bible Reading Today: Job 29-31
Job 31:6 Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity.
Throughout the past chapters of Job, he regrets his birth. In these more recent ones, he reminisces about the better days he had, when everyone appreciated and admired him. Now, he does not like the reputation he has gained (although he has no idea of the abundant restoration he will soon experience-so be sure to keep reading along!). But anyway, as of where we are now, we can relate to Job's fear-what must others think of me? How am I being judged in this season I am going through? He wants to be judged in an honest & balanced way so that God sees his integrity...but it turns out, God sees it already! Just because others might judge us unfairly does not mean God does! God is the final Judge with the final say...as long as we are striving to live our best according to the Bible with that Spiritual integrity in our hearts, don't be worried about what people are saying on the outside! So, Who's judging? "But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7
