Worry to Worship

Based on 1 Chronicles 13-15, John 7:1-27

"And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy."

1 Chronicles 15:16

Worship was an important task in David's time-and still is! Worship wasn't only praising God, but praising God with purpose for all that He accomplished through His people. It was a celebration of victory! And if it's a celebration to us, and we truly take joy in the job of worshipping our God, then we have no room for worry! We don't want to be a worrier, we want to be a WARRIOR! And David was a great warrior against the Philistines because he made worship his priority!

"Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps." 1 Chronicles 15:28

David took very seriously whom he would assign to sing, play certain instruments, and to carry the ark of The Lord. In the first attempt to bring the ark home, Uzza put his hand on the cart and God smote him then & there. David did experience some sudden fear, but instead of staying in that place, he was determined to see the ark come home, in the right order & manner. He was very careful about making sure the Levites were the only ones who carried the ark...and after everyone had their assigned work of worship, the second celebration was even greater than the first!

Don't be stuck in a place of worry-break out in worship!

"Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill? But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?" John 7:24‭-‬26

Jesus knew what He was up against when He spoke to the rulers, Pharisees & Sadducees. He knew He faced death for the things He spoke, but He did not worry about that! He did what He was sent to do in order to honor God! David also didn't care who saw him or judged him for his intense worship-he knew God was worthy of it! His own wife saw him and was angry with him for it, but David reminded her that he works for God and He is worthy of all the worship we've got!

The best way to rid ourselves of panic & worry is to get the worship music flowing & set the stage for God to do the miraculous, make some changes & move us in the right direction!
