Yet will I trust in Him
Bible Reading Today: Job 10-13
Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
Who's still in the "honeymoon stage" of New Year's? The excitement of saying "2023" instead of "2022" is still fresh in our minds, right? And all the goals, resolutions & plans are still forming I'm sure...but are we planning for the storms as well as our successes? Are we holding onto a false hope that this year is going to be perfect? I'm not trying to be a downer...in fact, facing this reality head-on allows us to enjoy every experience of 2023, good or bad...Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him...a powerful Scripture...though God allows certain things for significant reasons, yet we will continue to trust that it's for our own good (even if it's against our self-proclaimed NYE resolutions!). If we embrace it & face it, we can safely say that a mindset shift is necessary. We must understand that the hard times, humbly accepted, will help us grow! And if we keep that perspective, 2023 might just be the best year yet! "that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." Matthew 5:45
