Calm in the Crazy
Reading of the Day: Joshua 3-5
Joshua 3:17: And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.
The Lord shows us time & time again how He creates a space of solitide, or calm, within our crazy life...He doesn't provide an escape, or teleport us to some deserted island, anytime we cry out for help. He gives us peace amidst everything we are going through! And that's because He doesn't only want us to be free of pain, but to know how to get through it by trusting in Him! It would be amazing to never have a challenge-but it's also amazing to have a story to tell! And God wants us to know that with His help, we are capable of so much more than we think we are. Think about it...the Israelites should have looked at Jordan with a "Red Sea" perspective, saying, "Another body of water? No problem! We've gone through this before!" They had no reason to fear! They could just have dry ground in the middle of the water, or calm in the middle of their crazy...just like us! We need to say, "Another obstacle? No problem! Our God is greater than this!" And we need to boldly step out onto the sea. God will always be the peace in our storm, and the calm in our crazy. When life is spinning around us and swirling like waves, some way, some how, God gives us a little dry ground. All we simply have to do is call upon His Name! The Name of Jesus already gives us so much peace & hope...imagine what more we would have praying in His Name over every situation! We would see a whole lot more peace in our problems, and a whole lot more calm in our crazy!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
