Drying out, or Dying out?

Based on Ezekiel 37-39, 2 Peter 2

"Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: and I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD." Ezekiel 37:4‭-‬6

There are times when we feel so worn, entirely in need of a rejuvenation...all we can do is lay there, untested, thinking of all the things we want to change, but not knowing where to start...thankfully, at that point, we are drying out, but not dying out yet! We may be dry. We may be empty. But if we turn to Jesus, it's not over! The only way we die out is if we give up on God...but He hasn't given up on us!

"Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore." Ezekiel 37:26

God doesn't just "fix" us...He transforms us! He leaves things better than He found it...just as He brought Ezekiel to a valley of dry bones...He didn't do that to show Ezekiel death & doom; He did that to show that even in a heap of a dry old mess like that, there was STILL potential! So are we dried out, or have we already died out? Are we willing to look for a solution, or have we completely given up?

"These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever."

2 Peter 2:17

These words from 2 Peter refer to the false prophets who did not speak from The Lord. They were the ones who were dry, wells without water, and they did nothing to change their ways...only on a road to death & destruction...but we can have a different future! It may be dry, but that doesn't mean there can't be a chance of rain! Look to Jesus! Even if all we can do is lay & pray sometimes, we can look up! Even if you're drying out, don't let your light die out!
